The medical technology industry is deeply rooted in Baden-Württemberg, especially in the regions Tübingen/Reutlingen/Zollernalb and strongly characterized by the German “Mittelstand”. The industry is – as many others currently – going through a process of change, driven by increasing digitalization, the expected implementation of the Medical Device Regulation and finally the ongoing corona pandemic. However, these changes also help market players to realize innovation and potentials. Especially the innovations and potentials seen by the MedTech companies themselves, by start-ups, by industry-focussed consultants, by doctors and investors are examined in more detail in our study. Our goal is to present important topics of the industry in close cooperation with the relevant players and to offer a platform for exchange and discussions to MedTech companies, their consultants, investors and other players with industry link.
